An Initiative Aimed at Promoting Greater Visibility, Participation and Engagement of CSOs and Citizens.
Pro-Cívico & Direitos Humanos is an initiative that aims to promote greater visibility, participation and engagement of CSOs and citizens in the decision-making process at different levels of governance, making these actors influential in promoting inclusive governance that is sensitive to human rights issues and respects the needs of marginalized groups. The program is implemented in the central and northern regions of the country, namely in the provinces of Zambézia, Nampula, Niassa and Cabo delgado, and is funded by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The aim of the "Citizens' Room" initiative is, on the one hand, to make it easier for citizens to better monitor the actions carried out by the Assembly of the Republic, the Provincial Assemblies and the government at central and provincial level. On the other hand, it aims to facilitate the interaction and active participation of citizens in the government process, as well as channeling their contributions into the process of formulating public policies and influencing the decision-making process. The citizens' room is a mechanism in which the citizen has a set of tools linked to citizen participation in governance, human rights and more.
