As part of the implementation of the Procivico & Human Rights program, the second phase of the three-day virtual training course for young citizens on "Political Participation of Youth in Mozambique" began on Wednesday, August 7, as part of the "Schools for Democracy" initiative. The aim of the training is to contribute to the active and informed participation of citizens, as well as to building inclusive governance that is sensitive to human rights.
The Democracy Schools are a learning and training platform for women, young people, people with disabilities and other marginalized groups, so that they can not only participate, but also influence and closely monitor local governance.
The event was attended by social activists Marchal Manufredo and Withney Sabino, Fidália Maculuve, IMD Project Manager and Lucília da Fátima, Senior Trainer at the kubastira Association.
The training was organized by Associação kubastira, in partnership with the Institute for Multiparty Democracy (IMD) as part of the Procivic and Human Rights project, which is funded by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its embassy in Mozambique.
