The IV Schools for Democracy (EpD) training course, an IMD initiative, has been taking place in Lichinga since April 22, as part of the Pro-Civic and Human Rights program.
Participating in this training are 30 CSO representatives and social activists from the districts of Lichinga, Cuamba, Nipepe and Chimbonila.
The training aims to help strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations to engage more effectively in promoting active citizenship and defending human rights.
The opening session was attended by FONAGNI Vice-President Anabela Lucas and IMD Project Manager Fidália Maculuve.
It should be noted that the EpDs are being implemented in the provinces of Nampula, Cabo Delgado, Niassa and Zambézia, as part of the Pro-Civic and Human Rights project. This initiative is funded by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its embassy in Mozambique.
