IMD and MASC Foundation carry out a monitoring visit as part of the Pro-Civic and Human Rights project

On March 18, the Institute for Multiparty Democracy (IMD) and the MASC Foundation carried out a monitoring visit to the actions of the Pro-Civic and Human Rights project in the Namacurra district, in Zambézia province.

The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the results achieved so far, identify the challenges faced by Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), record good practices and collect success stories from the project's beneficiaries.

During the monitoring mission, interactions were held with various minority groups (project beneficiaries), including the women's group "Unstoppable Women" (a savings initiative), young people from the Civic Incubator, as well as people with disabilities, represented by the ADEMO, ACAMO, ASSUMO and ALBIMOZ associations.

Among the main results obtained was the strengthening of citizenship capacities, which led to the submission of advocacy letters aimed at improving services in the community. These actions reflect the project's positive impact on promoting active citizenship and strengthening local CSOs.

The visit took place in the context of the Pro-Civic and Human Rights Project, financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, through its Embassy in Mozambique.
