Young people across the country benefit from free virtual training as part of Schools for Democracy

As part of the implementation of the Procivico & Human Rights program, a three-day virtual training course for young citizens on "Youth Political Participation in Mozambique" began this Wednesday, July 31, as part of the "Schools for Democracy" initiative. The training aims to contribute to the active and informed participation of citizens, as well as to building inclusive governance that is sensitive to human rights.

The Democracy Schools are a learning and training platform for women, young people, people with disabilities and other marginalized groups, so that they can not only participate, but also influence and closely monitor local governance.

The event's opening session was attended by Fidália Maculuve, IMD's Project Manager, and Lucília da Fátima, Senior Trainer at the kubastira Association.

The training was organized by Associação kubastira, in partnership with the Institute for Multiparty Democracy (IMD) as part of the Procivic and Human Rights project, which is funded by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its embassy in Mozambique.
